Estimated Budget: $2 |Time: 60 minutes | Difficulty: Easy
In addition to your normal baking tools, you will need:
- Bone Shaped Cookie Cutter
- 2 Cups Flour (Whole Wheat or Non-Bleached)
- 1 Tablespoon Baking Powder
- 1/2 Cup Peanut Butter
- 1 Cup Milk (I used Skim)
- Optional – 1/2 cup oats
For the Icing
- 1/2 cup non-fat Greek yogurt
- 1/2 tbsp peanut butter
Always ensure your pet is not allergic before introducing any new food in their diet. If unsure, call your vet.
Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
Combine flour, baking powder, and oats in a mixing bowl.
Mix in peanut butter and milk with the ingredients in step two.
Kneed dough and roll out on a lightly floured surface. Roll to about 1/4 inch thick.
Cut out bone shapes using your bone shaped cookie cutter.
Place biscuits on a cookie sheet (lightly greased) and bake for 30-40 minutes.
Take biscuits out of the oven and allow them to cool.
To make the icing, mix the greek yogurt and peanut butter in the blender until you have a nice smooth consistency,
Using a fork or tooth pick, dip it in the yogurt icing and lightly “draw” a white line across the bone. Then draw 4 vertical lines through it.
Place biscuits in the fridge for 20-30 minutes to allow yogurt icing to harden.
Enjoy! Obviously Chuy did by the left over yogurt on his lip LOL!!!
